Pick the Spot
Go back to the website for your campground, and see what the reservation process is like.
Do they take reservations? Is it first-come, first served? Do you pay upfront and how much?
The more people and things you’re bringing, the better the idea it is to get a reservation.
If you're picking one on a map, then look for the nearest water, shade coverage, and bathroom area.
If you’re short on time or they’re all reserved, check out Hipcamp to scoop up sites that were previously reserved but are going unused.
Once you’re all set, grab yourself a smaller map of the campground and a bigger map of your surrounding area to plan your adventures.
